Two ports with a large tourist trade

Ports WITH A LARGE TOURIST TRADE designed to handle passenger lines.

 

Van Beneden PORT (also called "MARCATCHOUS PORT")

Several cruises starting in particular from Maastricht stop off in Liege, on the pier at the bottom of the footbridge (Marcatchou quay).

City of Liege, right bank of the River Meuse, at the foot of the Saucy footbridge

Access :

Pedestrians : via the footbridge
Waterway :
  • via the Albert Canal and the Liege Meuse from Limburg and Antwerp (±120km) ;
  • via the Lower Meuse, the Albert Canal and the Liege Meuse from Maastricht (±30km) and the Netherlands ;
  • via the Upper Meuse from France (±110km) and the Sambre (±60km).

Total surface area :

6 a established via a quay level

Infrastructure :

Length of the quay : 150 m
Acceptable draught : 2.50 m
Water level: ± 60.00 m
Quay level : ± 61.25 m on 100 m
